The Iona Gallery |
This gallery is in the small town of Kingussie, within the Cairngorms National Park, set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The Society of Strathspey and Badenoch Artists have taken over The Iona Gallery from The Highland Council in recent years. The gallery is in need of significant renovation and as a group of enthusiastic volunteers we are aware of the huge project before us! |
Lizzie Farey, Spirit of Air
It is fascinating to ponder how these unusual willow constructions have been made. Some of them have furry buds still attached, some of them are very densely woven and others are scattered in an effortless manner - but curiously they are very controlled at the same time and describe exactly the shape of a swallow, a heart or a circle. Catch the exhibition until 5 June 2011.
Please note our new opening times are:
Saturday, Sunday 11am – 5pm
Monday, Thursday, Friday 1pm – 5pm
